At the moment we have a Maxi Rider 2 for miss 4 which is great but need to get another carseat/booster for miss 3 and Dont know if we should get another one of them or something like the Evenflo Traditions Harnessed Booster Seat or the Edinburgh Deluxe Booster Seat. We want one that has the tether strap. We need to buy one for her asap so that miss 5 months can have miss 3s carseat which is both rear and forward facing, And still has a couple of years before it expires. Many Thanks

Hi cxc_bunny  Smiley

The Edinburgh Deluxe Booster Seat does not have a tether strap, so that's ruled out for you as that's one of the things you wanted. The Evenflo Traditions has a 6 year life span, so you would need to check the expiration date before you purchased it as you might not get a lot of "life" out of it.

How much does Miss 3 weigh?

She is roughly 15kgs. I really want to buy new as I dont trust second hand carseats lol. Um Would I just be best to get another Maxi Rider or is there something better? Thanks

Unfortunately there just isn't much available in the way of convertible boosters that offer a lot of good features (both convenience and safety wise) as well as high slots. At least with the Maxi II there is the option to use it past 18kg with the additional protecta harness, where as with most other seats on the market there just isn't that option. Have you looked at the S&S Explorer or Maxi Plus seats?
