I have just found out I am pregnant again Smiley  Mr 1 will be about 21mths when I am due.

I never had him in a capsule. Got a safe n sound that is used rearfacing (he is just on 10kg now).

Am I going to need to buy another seat for bubs, or is there a convertable seat that I can buy and put EJ into, thus leaving his current seat for the new baby?

thanks Smiley

Hi Spuds Mum Smiley

What make/model/year of vehicle do you have and what budget are you working with? Would you prefer to keep Mr 1 rear-facing for some time yet, or are you quite happy to have him forward-facing?

Hi Bonnie,

I am planning on turning EJ around once he is walking or max weight for the seat.

Budget wise I am not too fussed on for a new seat, up to $500 is probabley as much as I can spend.

we have a 97 Terano, so quite a bit of room in back seat for 2 seats - dont thing we could manage 3 thou!!

Hi Spuds Mum Smiley

I would probably try options #2, #3 and #4 on this page http://www.childrestraintsafety.com/extended-harnessing.html under "Product Suggestions" half way down the page. There ARE more options then these available, especially those on smaller budgets however these ones are quite popular and do offer some nice features so you might want to look at them. There are also seats like the Nania Nuevo, Nania Newfix, Evenflo Generation, Safety 1st All In One and the list goes on.. all of which tether. Then you have ones that don't tether such as Phil & Teds etc etc. The "best" car seat however is one which fits your child, fits your car (and can be firmly installed), is easy to use, easy to install and of course, meets your budget. Those above seats are what's called "convertible boosters". That means they convert from forward-facing harnessed seats to booster seats (once the weight limit for the harness, usually 18kg, is met).

Hope this helps and sorry for the late reply!
